Intendis, Inc., maker of Finacea (azelaic acid) Gel 15% and Desonate (desonide) Gel 0.05% is changing its name to Bayer Healthcare. Bayer acquired the company five years ago and has decided to change its name as part of a company-wide rebranding effort. "Although Intendis will have a new name and a new look, the company's pioneering tradition in dermatology remains at the heart of everything we do," said Bill Griffing, United States president and general manager for Bayer HealthCare's dermatology unit.
