Michael H. Gold, MD, of the United States and Marc B. Roscher, MD, of South Africa have launched the Dermatologic & Aesthetic Surgery International League (DASIL). Headquartered in Chicago, DASIL is a non-profit organization founded with the mission to “teach what we do best--dermatologic and aesthetic surgery.” Jose Mena, president of HTC International, a full-service meetings management company, will serve as managing director of DASIL.
“The mission of DASIL is to create a global community for the exchange of knowledge and innovation by physicians specializing in dermatologic and aesthetic surgery,” says Dr. Gold. “Through our ongoing educational activities, and by establishing a higher standard of care, people living around the world will benefit from safer, more effective dermatologic and aesthetic treatments.”
