Modernizing Medicine’s modmed Kiosk has won the People’s Choice Award at the 6th UX Awards Summit. The awards recognize innovation in digital products and services.
A native iPad application, modmed Kiosk is designed for patients to perform self-service tasks, such as completing patient intake forms, at the doctor’s office. Patients can tap through intuitive prompts on the iPad to instantly access and update their personal, medical and pharmacy information rather than filling out cumbersome paperwork.
“modmed Kiosk is another major step in our company’s efforts to achieve a paperless medical practice,” said Mihai Fonoage, associate vice president of mobile strategy and user experience at Modernizing Medicine. “With our development of Kiosk, we focused on the empathetic approach of the patient experience with a user design methodology. By doing this, we help to empower the patient to become part of the larger healthcare conversation.”
