Backstage At New York Fashion Week With Celebrity Manicurist Pattie Yankee

Sep 22nd, 2022
Pattie Yankee

Celebrity manicurist Pattie Yankee had her work featured at New York Fashion Week.

Yankee’s designs graced seven runways during NYFW, including those of Serena Williams and Vivienne Tam. Yankee used products from her own nail line, Pattie Yankee Products, for each of her designs. We share our favorites below.

Vivienne Tam

Vivienne Tam’s collection blurred the lines between the tech and real worlds to forge a new fashion frontier.

Yankee and Tam collaborated to create custom nail stickers based on Tam’s personal NFT collection. The female models wore Plant A Seed, a rich and creamy beige-nude polish.

Pamella Rowland

Pamella Rowland drew inspiration from the streets of New York City for her Anniversary Collection, the designer's 20th showing at NYFW.

For the runway, Yankee created a nail extension with her pearlescent hues Be Kind and Pearl of Wisdom, to showcase the bold fabrics in Rowland's stunning collection. The effect was a delicate spin on the glazed donut nail trend.

Deviate

Deviate, a brand dedicated to uplifting the Detroit community and youth with fashion, showed bold and graphic white and black nails.

Yankee collaborated with Deviate designers and stylists to conceptualize the graphic design, which complimented the black and white pieces in the collection. For this show, Yankee used Fill the Void and A Chance of Fog.

Cucculelli Shaheen

Cucculelli Shaheen’s collection LA TROUVAILLE was  a tempting discovery of little treasures, lucky finds and revelations.

Yankee applied nude polishes to match the models' skin tones, and she finished each nail with a crystal or pearl treasure at the base paired to the models' ensembles. The designers chose the nail look based on a previous design by Yankee.

Yankee used Fairest of All, Open Your Eyes, Claypot, Down to Earth and I’m All In for the Cucculelli Shaheen show.
