BLP: How do you see professionals, salons or solo manicurists, being able to create or find an opportunity with this new innovation?
Tal Pink: pH Perfector is not just a pH-reactive nail tint that reacts to your natural nail oils & moisture to reveal your unique blush intensity and provide you with a no-maintenance, chip-free tint when the lacquer is removed; it also works as a treatment. This could be a great opportunity for a spa service to really focus on hand and nail health. Imagine a relaxing spa service while you wait for the color to develop. Then, at the end of the service, you remove the lacquer to reveal their chip-free, no dry time, blushing natural nails!
BLP: Do you imagine that this is an entirely at-home product or is it something that consumers might ask for at a salon?
TP: pH Perfector can absolutely be a consumer request at the salon. With pH Perfector, a precise application is really important to achieve an even, full coverage stain when the lacquer is removed. Think about regular lacquer. We know consumers love to do their own lacquer manicures at home, but many opt to get it professionally applied at a salon in order to ensure proper manicure prep is done and their nails look exceptional as an end result.
BLP: There are significant nail care benefits in this nail tint. Are there any ideas on this being a retail opportunity for salons?
TP: Absolutely! pH Perfector works as a treatment with antioxidants, vitamin C & E and mastic gum oil to support nail resilience over time. So it is a great upsell for salons to recommend for natural nail clients to maintain healthy-looking nails or for clients taking a break from their gel/nail enhancement services and looking for a little TLC. And it’s a great alternative for clients to have on hand on the rare occasions they can’t make it to the salon, and they need a quick solution for a weekend manicure.
