The American Society of Aesthetic Medical Professionals (ASAMP) is offering a new certification course for the injection of botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. The two-day training is offered in various cities and provides extensive hands-on training. "Our goal is to have every attendee properly trained in the evaluation and safe treatment of facial aging using botulinum toxin and dermal fillers," says plastic surgeon Marc S. Scheiner, MD, president of ASAMP. The course is eligible for 14 hours of CME credit through the American Academy of Family Physicians and includes 12 complimentary months of telephone and email support. In addition, all participants who complete the training are eligible to repeat the course at no cost if they feel less-than-confident in the performance of the injections.
