HMP Global, a company dedicated to omnichannel healthcare events and education, has acquired Music City Scale as of Nov. 21. Scale is an annual symposium making room for professionals in aesthetic medicine, medical dermatology and regenerative skin health to collaborate and educate.

With the intention to further educational resources and market insights, this is HMP’s second acquisition in 2025—its first being the Masterclasses in Dermatology, LLC in April. Masterclasses provide education for dermatologists and the APP Institute. Under the acquisition, Masterclasses brands combine with HMP’s media platform, The Dermatologist, and Dermatology Week, a provider of practical education, per an April 30 press release.

Co-founders of Scale, Brian Biesman, MD, FACS and Michael Gold, MD, FAAD, will remain in their roles, per a Nov. 21 press release. The founders will continue to guide Scale's scientific direction and faculty engagement, the release states. This transition takes place months before Scale’s 2026 annual event in May, located in Nashville, Tennessee.

"Scale is built on the principles of collaboration, science and innovation," said Gold. "HMP Global brings the infrastructure and strategic expertise to grow the meeting while preserving what makes it unique: the caliber of the faculty, the strength of the content, and the collaborative multidisciplinary community we've fostered."
