While the July/August issue shines a spotlight on minimally invasive devices like lasers, injectables and PRP as preventive aesthetics rises for younger generations who are more interested in wellness and beauty than previous generations ever were, which you will learn in here, July/August has a particular focus on men in aesthetics. Not only has societal views of beauty and maintenance shifted to reserve a spot for their demographic in aesthetics, but weight loss continues to be an area of interest for all, even younger people, and with that invites potential side effects like volume loss and excess skin in undesirable places.
Cosmetic surgeries were once considered exclusive and not as advanced and accessible as solutions are now, but now, the goal of anti-aging and routine maintenance for a flawless end result for years to come has attracted so many individuals on different journeys and different ways of life, younger and older. One thing they all have in common, though, is the search for confidence and self-security.
In this issue, I highlight the immense wave of preventive aesthetics and men’s motivation for facial rejuvenation, but also how to approach men’s procedures in plastic surgery, as their anatomy differs widely from women. You will also find information on electrolysis for male-pattern growth, for those who do not identify as male, and also men’s treatments that seem to be enhancing the intimate sides of life, among so much more!
Though June has come to an end, last month focused on men’s health and mental health and it was also Pride month! This issue basks in that light as we welcome July and August.
I’m happy you’re here,
Jamie O'Toole
