Research Links Iron Oxides to HEV Protection

Dermablend partnered with Pearl E. Grimes, M.D. to research the impact of visible light on skin and to see if Dermablend's foundation had an affect against it. The findings were published in the July 2020 edition of Journal of Drugs in Dermatology.

In a 14 day study, it was shown that the Flawless Creator Foundation protected the users skin against visible light-induced discoloration compared to those who used just SPF 50+ sunscreen or had bare skin. 

The foundation is created with 33% pigments containing iron oxide which is proven to help prevent discoloration induced by HEV light and can be used on its own or mixed into a sunscreen.
