Scarlet Pro, an RF microneedling device made by Viol, a South Korean medical device manufacturer, is officially available in the United States as of Oct. 21. The FDA cleared device will be housed by Aesthetic Management Partners, who is launching and providing the device to practices nationwide.
Intended for face, body and scalp treatments, Scarlet Pro features Na Effect 2.0, distributing radiofrequency through non-insulated microneedles to create coagulation zones—the areas receiving thermal damage—in the shape of a tear drop. Tear-shaped zones, per an Oct. 21 press release, help stimulate neocollagenesis, the process of forming new collagen fibers in the skin, and also dermal remodeling.
The OmniSoft tip installed in the device drives motorized microneedles. It also incorporates vision-inspection technology, allowing practitioners to monitor the skin and the needle pattern in real-time, like a sensor or built-in camera, for depth-control.
As a medical device provider, Scarlet Pro is now available through AMP and could be available soon in a practice near you. "Our strategic partnership with Viol allows us to deliver world-class innovation, empowering providers to succeed by delivering optimal outcomes," said Erik Dowell, CEO of Aesthetic Management Partners.
Eunchun Lee, CEO of Viol added, "Partnering with Aesthetic Management Partners ensures providers have access to the most advanced technology, and we are proud to continue working together to bring state-of-the-art solutions to the market."
