7 Hairstyles That Will Be Everywhere This Spring

Mar 9th, 2021
Unite Hair

With spring just around the corner, celebrity hairstylists are prepping their clients for warm weather and much-anticipated socially distant and/or virtual events (read: weddings, baby showers, etc.) with seven of the season’s hottest hair trends.

Using a variety of UNITE Hair products, you too can style your clients for whatever their social calendar has in store for spring 2021.

1. Soft Waves

While relaxed beach waves may never actually go out of style, pairing your clients’ laid-back locks with fun pastel barrettes will bring the classic look some playful 2021 vibes. Celebrity hairstylist Clayton Hawkins (@claytonhawkins) recently styled Miranda Cosgrove’s waves with UNITE’s 7SECONDS Glossing Spray and LePlay Hairspray. The products provided a high-shine finish and tame flyaways, respectively.

2. Curtain Bangs

The 70s-inspired curtain bangs trend has been growing in popularity over the last year. This spring bouncy bangs will continue to dominate your Instagram feed. Celebrity hairstylist and UNITE ambassador Graham Nation (@grahamnation) perfected the voluminous look by spraying BOOSTA Volumizing Spray on damp hair. Once the hair was dry, he sprinkled EXPANDA Dust throughout for extra grit and texture. He then applied 7SECONDS Glossing Spray and Le:Play Hairspray for a touchable hold without flyaways.

3. Faux Bob

For clients curious about embracing a bold bob haircut, consider suggesting a test run with a faux bob. The look, which was worn by Giuliana Rancic at the 2021 Golden Globes, was broken down by celebrity hairstylist Emma Willis (@emmawillismakeup). Willis pinned up Rancic’s longer hair pieces and added texture with UNITE’s U:DRY High Dry Shampoo. Next, she blended Rancic’s blunt extensions with GONE IN 7SECONDS Root Touch-Up Spray in Light Brown to create a flawless root finish and dimension.

4. Bubble Braids

If you’re anything like us, you love hairstyle nostalgia. TikTok’s bubble braid trend brings us back to the late 90s early 2000s in the best way possible. Using UNITE’s GO365 Hairspray, Makel Delgado (@hairby.makel) created a fun and easy tutorial for the must-try trend.

5. Mermaid Waves

Will we ever stop coveting the mile-long waves synonymous with mermaids? Honestly, probably not. To create this look, Hayley Heckman (@hayleyheckmann) reached for UNITE’s TEXTURIZA Spray for added volume throughout and 7SECONDS Glossing Spray for a healthy shine.

6. Sleek and Silky

For clients looking to break away from the wavy hair trend, ultra-smooth tresses will have a moment this season. Texture specialist Sophie Rose (@beautyxsophierose) used UNITE’s three-step Silky Smooth System to style a smooth and shiny blowout perfect for springtime soirées.

7. Side Part

While the polarizing debate over side part vs. middle part rages between Gen Z and millennials, the former hairstyle will still be a sought-after trend in spring 2021. Nation created a deep side part for Demi Burnett with the help of BOOSTA Volumizing Spray applied to her roots. He sprayed LePlay Hairspray on her curls before brushing them out for a softer wave. He finalized the look with GO365 Hairspray and 7SECONDS Glossing Spray.
