Core Biogenesis and Italian distributor Faravelli partnered to introduce Lip Longevity Gloss, a new formulation concept that explores how biotechnology could be used in the lip care category. The formulation is based on Core Biogenesis’ Peauforia, a patented oleosome-FGF-2 technology.
Peauforia is a plant-derived biomimetic growth factor platform designed to support skin barrier function. The Lip Longevity Gloss formulation combines this technology with hyaluronic acid and luminous mineral pigments to combine skincare, color and biotechnology.
“Consumers increasingly expect more from their beauty products,” said chief commercial officer Tony Abboud. “The future of color cosmetics will not simply be about how products look on the skin, but how they actively support skin health and biological function. Lip Longevity Gloss provides a glimpse into that future.”
Officials at Core Biogenesis hope that Lip Longevity Gloss will serve as a platform for inspiration for beauty brands seeking to explore new opportunities in lip care.
“Developed as a technology showcase for beauty innovators, the concept demonstrates how modern color cosmetics can evolve beyond aesthetics by integrating biomimetic growth factor technology with advanced hydration and barrier-support ingredients,” the company’s press release states.
