Edwin Williams, MD, Appointed AAFPRS President

The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) elected Edwin Williams III, MD, FACS, as president of the organization for the 2015-2016 year term. He will take office immediately.

Dr. Williams, founder of Williams Center Plastic Surgery Specialists, is certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the American Board of Otolaryngology and he is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons as well as a diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners. He has participated as a fellowship director of the AAFPRS fellowship program since 1999. During his tenure, he has fostered the surgical expertise of nine facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons.

“I am honored to follow my esteemed colleague, outgoing president Dr. Stephen S. Park, and hope to make as big of a difference to the AAFPRS as he did during his tenure,” said Dr. Williams.
