How-To: 10 Viva Magenta Hair Looks

Dec 15th, 2022
Beauty Launchpad

Viva Magenta is Pantone's Color of the Year for 2023.

Known officially as Pantone 18-1750, this color vibrates with vim and vigor. It is a shade rooted in nature descending from the red family and expressive of a new signal of strength. Viva Magenta is brave and fearless, and a pulsating color whose exuberance promotes a joyous and optimistic celebration.

To celebrate Pantone's announcement, we are sharing 10 magenta hair looks that will have you saying, "Viva la Magenta!" You can learn how to create this look for your clients with a how-to from haircolor specialist Shell Vega.

Get the Look:

  1. Start by doing a weave highlight feathering up, leaving a small amount of natural at the root.
  2. Once lifted, shampoo and dry, use Pulp Riot jam+velvet+cupid at the root, then melt into cupid+jam through mid-ends.
  3. Add b3 Brazilian Bond Builder in every formula for strength, shine and longevity.

You can see more trending Viva Magenta hair looks by reading Beauty Launchpad's January/February 2023 issue.
