“With all the buzz around Pantone’s 2026 color ‘Cloud Dancer,’ I’m absolutely here for it,” says Smith. “Pantone predictions aren’t created for the hair industry, and that’s perfectly fine. They speak more directly to fashion, textiles, and interiors—but the cultural conversation they ignite is too good to ignore.
“Cloud Dancer isn’t just ‘white.’ There are endless interpretations—stark white, creamy white, buttery white, pearl white. Each evokes a different emotion. For me, white symbolizes peace, tranquility, new beginnings. It’s calming, soothing, dreamy.
“I’m a total daydreamer, always looking up at the sky. So, Cloud Dancer? It’s a yes from me.”
A Global Signature
A British Hairdressing Awards Hall of Fame inductee, Smith continues to shape the global hairdressing landscape through his innovative approach to color theory and trend translation. CLOUD DANCER showcases the versatility of milk_shake professional color and care, merging editorial artistry with salon practicality.
