Iberchem has officially opened a new 30,000-square-meter fragrance innovation and manufacturing center in Guangzhou's Zengcheng District, strengthening its footprint in China and supporting the company's next phase of growth across Asia.

The new campus consolidates fragrance R&D laboratories, production, warehousing and offices into a single site and will serve as the workplace for more than 170 employees. Designed to meet rising regional demand for advanced fragrance solutions, the facility expands Iberchem's capabilities in areas including microencapsulation, neuroscience-driven fragrance research and fine perfumery, while a fully automated production center is expected to improve manufacturing precision and speed.

The center also brings together Iberchem's fragrance business with Croda's Beauty Actives botanicals team, creating new opportunities to develop integrated, multisensory solutions for beauty and personal care customers.

"Iberchem made its first investment in China in 2002," said José Balibrea, managing director of Iberchem and vice president of Croda's fragrances and flavors division. "Today, China is our number one country by sales, and Asia is a key pillar of our F&F 2030 growth strategy."

The inauguration was attended by government representatives from China, Spain and the United Kingdom, along with Croda chair Danuta Gray, Croda consumer care president Sandra Breene and Iberchem leadership.

The move from Iberchem's original Guangzhou facility in Huangpu District to the larger Zengcheng campus reflects the company's long-term investment in one of the world's fastest-growing fragrance markets. The expanded site is expected to enhance local customer collaboration while supporting demand for fragrance innovation throughout China and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
