CosmeticsMD, a Massachusetts medical spa, will now be known as Cosmetics & Wellness MD after announcing its name change on Dec. 30. This decision recognizes the clinic’s addition of wellness services, particularly for women and their hormonal balance.
Physician-led with a focus on aesthetics, the update to its name comes after welcoming a new team member. Jill Samale, MD, a board-certified OB-GYN and hormone specialist leads the clinic’s women's wellness and hormone-focused programs.
"Women deserve care that reflects the full complexity of their health," said Samale. "This model brings medicine, wellness, and aesthetics together in a way that finally makes sense for how women actually experience aging."
Now accompanying the clinic’s aesthetic services, under this name change and new team member enacting the wellness integration, patients can now book a Women's Hormone & Wellness Assessment that evaluates women’s needs during perimenopause, menopause or other hormonal changes.
According to a Dec. 30 press release, the assessment includes symptom mapping, skin analysis and a one-on-one visit with Samale to address medical weight management and aesthetic concerns in addition to hormone changes.
"As we've grown and served thousands of women in the North Shore, it's become clear that women need more than isolated treatments; they need thoughtful, coordinated care that address the real changes happening in their bodies," said Matt Galvin, CEO of Cosmetics & Wellness MD.
