Aesthetic Partners, a company that partners with plastic surgery and medical aesthetic practices to support their business development professionally and financially, has launched its AP Academy. The program was created to build technical skills while creating career opportunities and leadership growth for medical aesthetic practitioners, according to a Dec. 31 press release.

The modules cover topics of aesthetic medicine, operational excellence and customer service, according to the release. The curriculum within the modules is tailored to each clinic position with eight distinct tracks and more than 300 courses, including hands-on training sessions.

"AP Academy empowers practitioners to build thriving, future-ready careers in medical aesthetics with courses tailored to every role," said Faraz Karbasi, co-founder of Aesthetic Partners. "Whether you're just starting out, an experienced professional, or anywhere in between, AP Academy meets you where you are with programming designed to take your career to the next level."

AP Academy classes are taught by industry and functional experts—each course covering “Science of Sun Exposure,” “Types of Acids in Exfoliation” and a range of clinical, administrative and leadership courses, according to the release.

"It's the first program from a multisite aesthetic group to offer this level of training for new clinical aestheticians and injectors along with advanced techniques for experienced professionals,” plastic surgeon Jason Pozner, MD, said. “This is an entirely new type of education that we are so proud to offer."
