Tricoci Salon and Spa was established in 1977 by Mario Tricoci. Since 1977, the beauty space has witnessed a substantial evolution with the rise of medical aesthetics, including energy-based devices, injectables and medical-grade skincare. Aligned with this shift, Tricoci Med Spa in Oak Brook, Illinois is accepting appointments as of Sept. 16, signifying the next-generation of beauty, rather than a new emerging brand: where the salon experience now meets medical intervention for many consumers in 2025.

Oak Brook: A Natural Launchpad
Primarily based in Illinois with 14 locations, Tricoci decided to open its first medspa in Oak Brook, located at 284 Oakbrook Center Level 2, due to it being one of their top-performing markets. Introducing aesthetics here felt seamless, Allison recounts. The menu of services offered at the Oak Brook location focuses on minimally invasive treatments specifically—a natural blend to Tricoci’s long-standing contribution of gentle, transformative hair and nail care.
Injectables, energy-based skin treatments like BBL and Mox and collagen-boosting microneedling, along with comfort-focused options like Pro-Nox will be featured under Tricoci’s roof. Pro-Nox is traditionally known as a pain-relieving method, an alternative to pain medication using a combination of nitrous oxide and oxygen gas that can be inhaled by the patient during a procedure to relieve pain or anxiety [1].

Consumers, it appears, view scientific credibility as a core factor of their wellness journey, weaving effective, data-driven solutions that are proven effective into hair, nail and skin care [2]. With intent to expand the medspa space to other Tricoci locations in the future, the menu was designed to bridge artistry and science, a destination for receiving a balayage or manicure while also undergoing a BBL treatment as the beauty sector becomes multi-faceted.
Tricoci decided to integrate treatments that are subtle and natural looking—not overdone—because the new studio mixes with the existing spa experience, easily paired with a styling appointment that enhances clients and allows them to feel refreshed after their visit, without altering an appearance.
