Plastic surgeon Joseph Russo, MD, of Plastic Surgery of Boston has debuted two technologies at his practice to treat cellulite and wrinkles–the Avéli, a minimally invasive cellulite procedure, and the Ellacor, a micro-coring technology designed to remove excess skin non-surgically, according to a Dec. 16 press release.

Avéli reportedly tackles cellulite in just one treatment by releasing dimple-causing “septa bands” for an “inside-out,” long-term solution to cellulite. The minimally invasive technology requires minimal downtime, per the company.

The Ellacor, meanwhile, is reportedly the only FDA-approved procedure to non-surgically remove excess skin by using small hollow needles, per the release. The micro-coring technology integrated in the Ellacor allows for precise skin removal without scarring and elicits the skin's natural healing process to reduce wrinkles, the release explains.

According to the release, Russo is the founder of Aesthetic Mentor medical aesthetics training program, where he educates “rising members” in the field who attend his school.
