The American Academy of Dermatology annual meeting took place on March 7-10 at the Orlando Convention Center, where medical aesthetic companies and brands, like Cadela Corporation, gathered to share their latest insights and innovations.
Candela Corporation, a medical aesthetic device company, announced the launch of the Glacē solution, inspired by the K-beauty trend for “glass skin.” According to a March 7 press release, the Glacē treatment combines hydrodermabrasion, dual-mode cupping massage and LED technology to deliver skin purification and hydration.
The dual-mode cupping massage entails two modes–one to support lymphatic drainage and natural detoxification, and the second providing a temporary sculpted look. The device’s customizable two-phase serum system delivers tailored treatments for various skin types and concerns, including acne, sensitivity, dryness, uneven tone and signs of aging, per the release.
The treatment can be performed as a standalone procedure or integrated with energy-based devices to enhance other treatment outcomes.
Clinical studies for the device showed 100% of subjects reported visibly cleaner skin, and 97% experienced improved hydration.
The device is available in the U.S., Europe, Africa and the Middle East, with availability expanding across Asia Pacific later in March.
“With the growing demand for natural and non-invasive treatments, the launch of the Glacē treatment marks an exciting milestone for Candela,” said Geoff Crouse, CEO of Candela.
Establishment Labs Holdings Inc. announced a partnership with Grammy award-winning artist Meghan Trainor, who received Motiva Implants.
