Rejuva Fresh, an aesthetic technology manufacturer, announced an upgrade to its Custom Core 8D Multi-Platform Laser technology, introducing a new contemporary design alongside interchangeable spot sizes and higher power capacity that deliver expanded treatment options to address practitioner and patient interest in combining treatments that achieve synergistic and longer-lasting results.
Per a July 29 press release, the multi-platform laser incorporates IPL and BBL, a three wavelength-diode laser, pico-second laser, q-switch nanosecond laser, long pulsed YAG laser, erbium 1540nm fractional laser, 2940nm erbium YAG and 808 Diode Laser. The modality is FDA-cleared and can reportedly conduct 80 aesthetic treatments within the single device.
The system supports sequential use of multiple wavelengths—such as ablative and non-ablative lasers—in a single session, aligning with clinical studies that show improved outcomes with combination approaches.Courtesy of Rejuva Fresh July 29 Press ReleaseKeeping in mind that these are typically the most sought after laser treatments in aesthetic practices, Rejuva upgraded the device to treat all Fitzpatrick skin types and conditions. Namely, the picosecond laser includes different attachments and uses ultra-short pulses to create photoacoustic effects, targeting and breaking down pigment. The picosecond laser can be used to remove tattoos, age spots, acne scars, hyperpigmentation and skin resurfacing on all skin colors.
With studies attributing the increasing interest in non-invasive treatments, like laser therapy, to its affordability compared to plastic surgery—a combination of devices at the same treatment session, such as using ablative and non-ablative fractional laser resurfacing or two wavelengths of non-ablative laser at the same treatment, is shown to achieve a better patient experience with less pain [1].
The laser enables combinations of treatment, with two erbium laser options. "Using several different lights and lasers in one session is often the best way to successfully treat skin conditions, because this approach targets exactly the right skin layers and pigments for better results," said Polly Jacobs, founder and CEO of Rejuva Fresh.
The fractional ablative er:YAG laser, on the other hand, gently forms tiny perforations in the skin, promoting renewal while protecting nearby tissue to support faster healing, and the three wave diode laser, featuring 755nm, 808nm and 1064nm laser bars, removes hair. Now upgraded, the hair removal laser has an increased power of 1600W, as well as four interchangeable spot sizes available for diode laser handpieces.
The IPL and BBL function has also been upgraded with three times more energy delivery, including four interchangeable spot sizes and a facial tip. The BBL uses multiple filters to address sun damage, age spots, redness, rosacea, broken blood vessels, fine lines, wrinkles and uneven pigmentation.
"Our new Custom Core 8D allows the practitioner to have practically almost the same power as standalone lasers in an all-in-one platform, and to achieve the next level of results with their patients," Jacobs added.
